Dr. Boutin Biography
Dr. Claude Boutin completed his dental training at the University of Alberta in 1986 and practiced general dentistry for 3 years in Alberta before enrolling in graduate orthodontic training at the University of Toronto in 1989. He currently operates a specialty orthodontic practice in Calgary, Alberta.
Dr. Boutin holds a Fellowship in the Specialty of Orthodontics with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is recognized by the Alberta Dental Association as a certified specialist. He strives to remain at the forefront of emerging technologies in orthodontics and attends national meetings and orthodontic conventions every year, as a member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Boutin has been active as an executive member of the Alberta Society of Orthodontists and in facilitating local scientific sessions for the Canadian Association of Orthodontists. He has been invited to lecture at the American Association of Orthodontists largest annual meeting.
Dr. Boutin and his wife Diane are busy raising four children and they feel privileged to support community projects that focus on families, especially ones like the new Alberta Children´s Hospital.
Dr Boutin’s Orthodontic Treatment Philosophy
Dr. Boutin believes in quality, personalized care. Our office consists of private one-patient-at-a-time treatment rooms. We encourage parents to come into the treatment rooms if they so desire. We like our patients to feel free to ask whatever questions they have about their current or future orthodontic care.
Dr. Boutin likes to work closely with your family dentist to ensure a high level of dental health. While you are receiving orthodontic treatment with us you must continue to see your family dentist to have your teeth cleaned regularly. This will help ensure that when we finish your orthodontic treatment you will have nice straight teeth that are free from active dental disease. Dr. Boutin provides a full range of orthodontic services for children as well as for adults. Our adult patients appreciate the more private nature of our treatments rooms as opposed to the open orthodontic offices that have no walls between the chairs.
